Only moderate speed on paper here with Mississippi River and Devil's Advocate controlling the tempo. Daryz has been in super form this with back-to-back wins at Longchamp. He did benefit from softer going in the Prix Aga Khan IV at Longchamp and has to bring that form to a firmer deck. Ombudsman brings the best rating figures here and is ideally suited at ten furlongs. He carried 61kg when winning the Brigadier Gerard Stakes last start and at set weights he's the one to beat. OMBUDSMAN (6) Snagged a narrow win last time at Sandown and up against a less competitive field. Added confidence with William T Buick doing the steering and goes down in weight. Big chance. DARYZ (3) Won by a huge margin of 3 1/2L last run at Longchamp and up against a less challenging field. Flawless this preparation with 2 wins from as many starts. Can take this out. MINNIE HAUK (7) Lacklustre showing when 5th last start at Curragh but lining up against easier rivals. Ryan L Moore does know the horse very well. Will be trying to topple them late. Among better hopes. SEE THE FIRE (8) Solid win by 3/4L last time at York and up against weaker rivals. Unbeaten this campaign with 2 wins from as many runs. Has a nice turn of foot. Expect to go close.
