What is Kings of Glory/Honor of Kings & How to Bet on KOG
Honor of Kings (HoK), sometimes translated as King of Glory (KoG), is a mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game developed by TiMi Studios and published by Tencent Games. It’s the Chinese version of Arena of Valor and is available to play on mobile devices, including Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS.
Since it was originally released in China in 2015, the game has become a professional Esport with millions of players and a host of talented players and teams. Today, it’s also available to play around the world. One of the reasons why HoK is so popular is that it’s a mobile-only Esport. Honor of Kings Major Tournaments
Honor of Kings was created by Tencent and TiMI Studios to adapt a MOBA-style game similar to games such as Dota 2 and League of Legends for the mobile market. Originally called League of Kings, the game uses the same 5v5 format and features similar characters and abilities, though they’re based on Chinese mythology and folklore.

Format and Schedule of Honor of Kings Tournaments
There are 5 main tiers of Honor of Kings tournaments:
S-tier - These have a typical prize pool of $300k or more and feature the world’s best teams using a Local Area Network (LAN). In order to participate, teams must progress through a qualifying system. These tournaments include the Honor of Kings World Cup and the King Pro League Grand Finals.
A-tier - These tournaments have less strict qualifying requirements but still feature top teams. Typically, the finals use a LAN setup, and the prize pool is $50k or more. These tournaments include the Wildcard Kings Series and Honor of Kings Challenger Cup.
B-tier - These mostly feature top teams and offer decent prize pools of $10k or more. They include the HoK Open Series and Southeast Asian Games.
C-tier - These events are typically regionals and domestic leagues. They include the Honor of Kings Campus Series and the Electronic Super Cup.
D-tier - These tournaments typically feature little to no prize pools and don’t have an impact on the professional scene.
Most major Honor of Kings tournaments follow this format:
Qualifiers - Teams compete against competing teams within their region. Qualifying stages are normally open, so any team can take part. Double elimination is used, and all matches except for the bracket finals and grand final are best of 3.
Group stages - After qualifying, teams are drawn into random groups, and each team plays every other team in the group once. Matches are typically played to the best of 5. Based on their win/loss record, teams can progress to the playoffs.
Playoffs - During the playoffs, teams compete in either a single-elimination or double-elimination format, which is usually played to the best of 7.
Finals - The finals of most tournaments are played to the best of 7, and Ultimate Battle rules are in effect for game 7.
Most Honor of Kings tournaments use the Global Banpick rules, which means teams can only use each hero once in a match. This forces teams to be more creative with their strategies and creates more hero diversity and interesting matches.

You’ll also find our general sports betting guide helpful if you’re new to Esports betting. We’ve also got some helpful betting tips and King of Glory betting strategies to give yourself the best possible chance of winning:
If you haven’t done so already, download the mobile battle game for free and play. It’s essential that you understand how the game works, the main abilities of each character, the significance of the kills, and how maps can be won before placing any HoK bets.
Even if you’re not interested in playing the game yourself, you can watch it only to get a better idea of the gameplay and team strategies. Free live streams are available at Stake, giving you a chance to understand the game modes and how the game works while learning the most important things to look out for.
Follow the KoG teams on social media and learn more about their players. You can also check out their recent form and discover new teams to back. Track Esports results, recent form, and player performance, looking for consistent MVPs, especially those that play in mid-line or jungle. Teams with quality junglers tend to win more matches.
Make the most of all the available betting markets. There are lots of different ways to bet on HoK at Stake, including first blood, map winner, total kills, and handicap betting. If a team is looking dominant, consider the -1.5 handicap market.
Check the live betting odds as the game is happening too. Track the gold graph for an idea of how far ahead each team is. If one team is more than 5k gold ahead after 10 minutes, they’re usually going to secure the win.
Consider the context of the tournament too. Online vs LAN tournament performance can vary a lot, with underdogs often upsetting the odds in online qualifiers. Remember that elimination rounds are more high-pressure and will see teams tighten up and play more careful strategies.
